1: In a bowl combine dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt) and whisk together. Set aside. 2: In a separate bowl, combine the wet ingredients (buttermilk, melted butter, egg yolks, vanilla extract) and whisk together. 3: Add the buttermilk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix with a spatula, don’t over mix. 4: Add egg whites and mix until just combined. Let sit for 15-30 mins. 5: Grease both sides of your waffle iron and then pour 1 cup of batter into the waffle iron. Evenly spread the batter before closing and cooking. 6: Remove cooked waffle and top with fried chicken, bacon pieces, maple syrup, and chives. Enjoy!
