Snow Pea and Spicy Tuna Spaghetti

A quick and flavorful spaghetti dish featuring spicy tinned tuna, fresh snow peas, asparagus, garlic, and a hint of lemon.

Add the pasta to boiling water and cook until al dente. Reserve 1 1/4 cups of pasta water and drain the pasta, then set aside. In a large high-rimmed skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, oil from tuna tins, shallot, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 6 minutes to allow all the flavors to fully combine. Add the reserved pasta water and simmer for 4 minutes. Add the asparagus and allow to simmer for an additional 3 minutes. Add pasta, snow peas, and lemon zest and toss to combine. Add parsley and season with salt and pepper. Toss once again to combine. Remove from heat and add tuna, salt and pepper to taste, and a squeeze of lemon juice, then combine.
