What you need

tsp thyme

tsp black pepper

oz bacon

cup flour

cup leek

oz macaroni

cup heavy cream

tbsp unsalted butter

clove garlic clove

cup full fat milk

oz British cheese
Instructions
1: In a large pot over medium heat, add bacon and fully cook. 2: Remove bacon and excess fat. Set aside. 3: In the same pot add 2 Tbsp butter and leek. Sauté for 2 minutes, remove, and set aside. 4: Add remaining 3 Tbsp butter and flour to form the roux. Whisk together for 3 minutes until slightly brown. 5: Add milk, heavy cream, thyme, and garlic. Whisk until thickened, about 5 minutes. 6: Add 3 cups cheese and mix until well incorporated. 7: Add salt, pepper, macaroni, bacon, and leek. Mix until well combined. 8: Pour into a baking pan and top with remaining cheese. 9: Bake at 350ºF for 20-25 minutes, until slightly browned.View original recipe
