A delicious and hearty Beef and Caramelized Onion Penne Bake made with Rao’s Homemade caramelized onion sauce, lean ground beef, and topped with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. This comforting dish is perfect for a family dinner and is baked to perfection until golden and bubbly.

What you need
lb lean ground beef

lb penne pasta

cup parmesan cheese
tsp italian seasoning

bunch parsley

cup mozzarella cheese

tbsp olive oil

tsp red pepper flake

clove garlic clove

caramelized onion

tsp black pepper

yellow onion

tbsp basil
Instructions
1: In a large pan over medium high heat, add 2 Tbsp olive oil and beef. Once beef is browned, add onions, garlic, and red pepper flakes. 2: Sauté until fragrant. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. 3: Then add Rao’s Homemade Caramelized Onion sauce and let simmer for 10 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. 4: Fill a large pot with water and boil Rao’s Homemade Penne until al dente. 5: Add pasta to the pan with beef and Rao’s Homemade Caramelized Onion Sauce and mix. 6: Add in basil and parmesan cheese and mix until just combined. 7: Add pasta & meat sauce to a high rimmed casserole dish. 8: Then add a layer of mozzarella cheese on top. 9: Bake for 25 minutes at 375°F until cheese is melted. 10: Top with parsley and enjoy!View original recipe
