A delicious recipe combining classic Cacio e Pepe with perfectly seared salmon. Start with cooking spaghetti in salted water and toasting black pepper with olive oil before mixing in cheese and pasta water. For the salmon, season and sear until cooked to your liking.

What you need

lb spaghetti

fl oz olive oil
cup pasta water
Instructions
1: Add water to a large pot and bring to a boil. 2: Generously salt your water. 3: Add spaghetti and boil until al dente. 4: In a large pan over medium heat, crack black pepper and toast for about 1 minute. 5: Add olive oil and stir for about 15 seconds. 6: Pour in pasta water and mix. 7: Add spaghetti and turn flame down to a simmer. 8: Mix spaghetti until well incorporated. 9: Turn off heat and add cheese and a splash of pasta water. 10: Mix quickly to incorporate the cheese without breaking. 11: Season both sides of the salmon with salt and pepper. 12: Add olive oil to a pan over medium high heat. 13: Sear salmon on each side for about 2-3 minutes or until desired doneness.View original recipe
