What you need

shallot

tbsp unsalted butter

pinch nutmeg

cup parmesan cheese

sourdough bread

tsp salt

tbsp flour

cup milk

tsp pepper

oz gruyere
Instructions
1: Preheat the oven to 400°F. 2: Warm the milk. 3: In a saucepan over low heat, add butter and let it melt. 4: Add shallot and flour and stir for 2 minutes. 5: Then add the milk and stir constantly until the sauce starts to thicken. 6: Add 1/2 cup Gruyère cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix well. 7: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 8: Spread the cheese mixture onto a slice of bread. 9: Lay down ham and sprinkle with Gruyère cheese. 10: Place the second piece of bread down and spread the cheese mixture on top. 11: Sprinkle with more Gruyère cheese and Parmesan cheese. 12: Bake for 5 minutes. 13: Broil for 3-5 minutes, until the top is lightly brown and cheese is bubbling. 14: Top with parsley and enjoy.View original recipe
