What you need

cup chicken broth
oz sausage

celery

bay leaves

tbsp garlic

oz fire roasted tomatoes

onion

tbsp cajun seasoning

lb shrimp

cup flour

cup bell pepper

tsp gumbo file

tbsp tabasco sauce

cup cooking oil
Instructions
1: In a large pot or dutch oven, heat oil over medium high heat. 2: Add flour and whisk to combine. 3: Using a wooden spoon, stir continuously for 15 minutes or until the mixture turns to a deep caramel color. 4: Add onions, bell peppers, and celery. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring often. 5: Once the vegetables have softened, add sausage, garlic, and bay leaves. Cook for an additional minute until garlic is fragrant. 6: Add cajun seasoning, Tabasco sauce, cayenne pepper, chicken broth, and tomatoes. Bring to a high simmer then lower the heat to medium-low. 7: Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. 8: Add the shrimp, stir, and continue to simmer for another 10-15 minutes or until the shrimp is fully cooked. 9: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
