
Hanger Steak and Creamed Corn

What you need

tbsp ground cumin
tbsp dried oregano

tbsp flour

tbsp dry mustard

tsp salt

red bell pepper

tbsp ground coriander

poblano chile

tbsp butter

tbsp smoked paprika

Instructions
1: Remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking. 2: Pat the steak dry with a paper towel. 3: Brush both sides of the steak with butter and season with salt and pepper. 4: Season one side of the steak with the rub, reserving 1 Tbsp for the corn. 5: Place the steak on a wire rack inside a broiler pan. 6: Broil the top of the steaks for about 4 minutes, then flip and broil for another 4 minutes. 7: Let steak rest for 5 minutes before cutting. 8: In a small saucepan over low heat, add the milk and let simmer. 9: In a medium saucepan over medium high heat, melt the butter. 10: Add the onions and cook until softened, about 3 minutes. 11: Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. 12: Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute until it turns a pale blond color. 13: Add the milk, whisking continuously over high heat until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 3 minutes. 14: Turn the heat to low and add the rub spices, roasted poblano pepper, red bell pepper, and corn. 15: Cook for about 4 minutes, until corn is tender. 16: Mix with salt and pepper and enjoy!View original recipe
