What you need

cup maple syrup

cup milk
cup vegetable oil

cup butter

can cream-style corn

Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place bacon slices on a wire rack set over a baking sheet and bake until crispy. 2. While the bacon cooks, combine milk, eggs, vegetable oil, and maple syrup in a large bowl. Whisk until well combined. 3. Stir in the canned creamed corn. 4. Add the sweet corn muffin and cornbread mix to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. 5. Chop the cooked bacon and fresh chives, then fold them into the batter. 6. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish. 7. While the cornbread bakes, prepare the glaze by mixing softened butter, maple syrup, and spices in a small bowl. 8. Bake the cornbread for 20-25 minutes. During the last few minutes of baking, brush the top generously with the smoky hot maple butter. 9. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve. Add more glaze if desired.
