What you need

Instructions
1: Fill a deep pan halfway with canola oil and heat to 350°F. 2: Combine all sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside. 3: Cut the plantains in half and peel them to get 4 pieces. 4: Place plantains in the oil and cook for 4-5 minutes. 5: Remove and smash the plantains using a small plate. 6: Place flattened plantains back into the oil for another 4-5 minutes, remove, and sprinkle with flaky salt. 7: Cook onions until crispy. 8: Form the ground beef into even-sized balls. 9: In a pan, smash down the beef balls with a spatula until thin. 10: Season with salt and pepper and cook until crispy, topping with cheese slices. 11: Assemble the burger by adding sauce to a plantain, followed by lettuce, tomatoes, one or two patties, onions, and more sauce. 12: Top with another plantain and enjoy!View original recipe
