What you need

tsp black pepper

tsp garlic powder

cup cornmeal

cup mayo

tsp cayenne pepper

cup all purpose flour

tsp onion powder

tbsp lemon juice

tbsp pickle juice

cup buttermilk

Instructions
1: Add all sauce ingredients to a bowl and mix until fully incorporated. Store in the fridge until ready to use. 2: Mix together dry batter seasonings in a small bowl and toss the shrimp in half of the seasonings until fully coated. 3: In another bowl, add the remaining seasonings to flour and cornmeal, whisk together. 4: In a shallow bowl, whisk buttermilk and hot sauce together. 5: Dip the shrimp in the buttermilk mixture, then in the flour mixture, coating all sides. 6: Heat oil in a pot to 350°F and fry shrimp in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes for each batch. 7: Transfer fried shrimp to a cooling rack. 8: Toast the insides of the bread, then spread with sauce, add toppings, shrimp, and drizzle with more sauce.
