What you need

tsp vanilla extract

fl oz maple syrup

tsp baking powder

tsp kosher salt

bacon

oz unsalted butter
lemon zest

tbsp sugar
cup ap flour

cup buttermilk

egg yolk

bunch fresh chives
Instructions
1: In a bowl combine dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt) and whisk together. Set aside. 2: In a separate bowl, combine the wet ingredients (buttermilk, melted butter, egg yolks, vanilla extract) and whisk together. 3: Add the buttermilk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix with a spatula, don’t over mix. 4: Add egg whites and mix until just combined. Let sit for 15-30 mins. 5: Grease both sides of your waffle iron and then pour 1 cup of batter into the waffle iron. Evenly spread the batter before closing and cooking. 6: Remove cooked waffle and top with fried chicken, bacon pieces, maple syrup, and chives. Enjoy!View original recipe
